- Are there are any current situations in the world that relate to the novel? What are they, and how do they relate? Does the novel shed any light on how current situations could be resolved or "fixed"?
-> There are some things that are related to current situations. And most of them need to be fixed. In the book, "Fahrenheit 451", the people in Montag's world are not allowed to possess and read books. Most of the people don't know why they had to burn books and houses if they possess books. People in Montag's world have fixed thought. They just do what the governments say. They always watch TV. They have to change the world, but they are too lazy. They just do what they want. But there are people who are worse than the people who are lazy to change the world. The person is Beatty. Beatty knew what was going on in the world, and why they have to burn books. Even though, he knew what was going on in the world, but he didn't have any courage to change the world. So later, Beatty chooses death. But Montag was brave. He tried to change the terrible world to peaceful world where people can read books freely. Montag is a person that I want to be. He was brave enough to change the world. Actually, these days, peoples are not brave enough to resist on the government. There should be lots of people like Guy Montag. We have to resist on things what governments do wrong. If we don't resist on things what governments do wrong, we will have to obey what governments say, and just act like slaves. We definitely should know what is going on, and what is good and bad. That is our duty.
